Telehealth Evaluations and Treatment Sessions
Telehealth evaluation and treatment sessions are now available using Doxy.me from the comfort of your home or office. This ensures seamless education and training in a individualized home program empowering each person to heal and achieve their recovery goals in a functional and meaningful way.
Telehealth is approved for people living in the State of:
- New York
- Florida
The State Licensing Department of NY requires that people must be physically present in New York at the time of telehealth sessions.
Advantages of telehealth therapy sessions:
- Performed in the COMFORT of your home or office.
- SAVE TIME – no lost time commuting, dealing with traffic, transport delays, parking, waiting room time etc.
- FACE to FACE evaluation and training.
- Allows for specific FUNCTIONAL training such as addressing difficulties eating and drinking – from your kitchen, dining room table or desk.
- Screen sharing and whiteboard tools allow INTERACTIVE explanations of facial nerve and muscle anatomy and function.
- Most importantly, EMPOWERS each individual person how to learn and perform their training exercises themselves on a daily basis.
Treatment Locations in NYC
In-person sessions are currently unavailable due to restrictions of mask wearing interfering with the effectiveness of facial retraining. Both therapist and client faces need to be fully seen for optimal learning and training.

Initial evaluations: 1.5 hours
Follow up sessions: 1 hour

Sunday: 10am -1.30pm
Payment
Segelov Physical Therapy, PLLC accepts payment by credit card. Payment is expected at time of service.
Credit cards accepted include:
- Visa, Mastercard, Amex
- HSA cards
- FSA cards
Reimbursement from your health insurance provider is possible if you have out of network benefits for Physical Therapy. Segelov Physical Therapy, PLLC will provide you with detailed receipts (with diagnosis and treatment codes) that you can submit to your health insurance provider for reimbursement.
Direct Access (Do I need a referral?)
Under New York State Law:
- Physical Therapy treatment can be rendered without a referral for 10 visits or 30 days, whichever comes first.
- Services without a referral might not be covered by your health plan, even out of network. Please call your provider to confirm.
- Services might be covered by your health plan with a referral.
Referrals
You may obtain a referral for physical therapy from your primary care physician, surgeon or specialist physician.
